For the past year, OCTVE has been our second job. Late nights after full days of running our management business, weekends spent learning technologies we'd never touched before, and more moments of "what the hell are we doing" than we'd care to admit.
But something happens when you're building for yourself. You don't cut corners because you're the one who has to use it tomorrow. You don't add features to check boxes on a competitor comparison chart. You add them because you're staring at a problem you've dealt with for ten years and you finally have the power to fix it.
One thing evolved into another, and the product took shape around the real workflows of a real management company. Not theoretical best practices from business school. Not features designed to impress investors. Just the tools we wished we'd had for the past decade.
We tested it on ourselves first. On our clients. On our tours. And then we realized: if we needed this, so do artists and their teams.
